The C50 sedan will get a two-liter gasoline engine available in two power options – 150 and 200 horsepower, writes Interfax. The powertrain will work in combination with a 7-speed robotized transmission. Dimensions of the car correspond to the class of mid-size sedans: length is 4825 mm, width – 1880 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2800 mm, which should provide a spacious interior.
Buyers will be offered five variants of body color: classic black and white, as well as gray-blue, dark gray and olive green shades. Externally, the model differs from its Chinese prototype by a redesigned grille with Volga branding.
The equipment of the car includes a wide range of modern options. The basic or extended version includes LED optics, dual-zone climate control, audio system with 12 speakers, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry system, as well as a set of driver assistants – including automatic braking, lane keeping and a system of all-round vision. The company also emphasizes the use of high-quality interior trim materials.
Special attention is paid to operation in cold conditions. The sedan will receive the so-called “winter package”, which includes heated steering wheel, front and rear seats, mirrors, windshield and washer nozzles.
Earlier it was reported that the plant in Nizhny Novgorod has completed preparations for serial production of the new Volga models. The production line has already been launched and the first car has rolled off the conveyor.
