In Week 21, Politehnica-UTM lost away to Zimbru with the score 2:4. “Technarians” opened the scoring on 10 minutes through Artur Sprincean, but the hosts almost eliminated all questions about the winner in the first half of the second half. Mikhail Stefan, Vladimir Fratya and the best scorer of the championship this season – Belarusian international Denis Kozlovski scored. Daniel Kucher reduced the deficit in the score, but seven minutes before the end of the main time Niki Kleshchenko hit Pavel Sokolov’s goal.

Head coach of Politehnica-UTM Vitaliy Rashkevich told after the meeting what his wards lacked for the victory. “We led in the score, but in the second half we missed. We were not satisfied with a draw, we began to play open soccer, which led to a lot of goals. Probably, we lacked strength,” – expressed the opinion of the specialist.

His vis-a-vis expressed satisfaction that the plan for the game worked. “We realized that the opponents are a young team, which sooner or later will get tired. We saved three attacking players for the second half, and they played very well. I want to keep the core of the team. We realize that in the second phase the matches will be more intense, and we are already thinking about how we will proceed,” said Zimbru head coach Oleg Kubarev.

According to the results of the match, the club Politehnica-UTM, following Spartanii-Sportul, left the elite five months after returning to the top division after 17 years. In the spring of 2026, the team will join the other five (the top four in Ligue 1) in a transitional tournament that will determine the two new entrants to the Superliga 2026/27.

“Petrocub confirmed their status as the best club in the league at the moment with a resounding 8-0 victory over Spartanii-Sportul. Ion Jardan completed a hat-trick, the club’s top scorer Petru Popescu, as well as Teodor Lungu, Vladimir Ambros, Maxim Cojocaru and Cristian Rotaru scored once each. “It is obvious that without maximum dedication it is difficult to play against a club aiming to win the championship. Unfortunately, the vast majority of our players did not play properly,” said Spartanii-Sportul coach Adrian Sosnovski.

“Sheriff” broke a four-match losing streak with a confident 4-0 victory over “Dacia-Buiucani”. Two of the four goals were scored by foreigners Kais Ganem from Israel and Mamadi Diarra from Mali, the other two were scored by Moldovan players Danila Forov and Veaceslav Cosma. In light of reports about the Moldovan Football Federation’s plans to impose the foreigner limit for the first time since 2019, the fact that more of their own pupils are involved in the games of Sheriff’s main team testifies to the Tiraspol side’s intention to adapt as quickly as possible to the new requirements seven months before its introduction.

CSF Bălți defeated Milsami 2:1 and thus distanced the club from Orhei from the championship race and the possibility to defend their title. CSF Bălți’s Brazilian international Ze Flores’ goal was answered by Milsami’s Malian Sibiri Keita before the teams went to the locker room. CSF Bălți midfielder Mihail Plătică brought victory to his team by hitting Emil Tâmbur’s goal in the 52nd minute.

Zimbru striker Denis Kozlovski remains the leader in the scorers’ race, having scored 15 goals in 21 league matches. Petrocub footballer Petru Popescu scored 11 times in the same number of games and is second in the ranking. Milsami striker Andrei Kobec is still in third place with nine goals.

For the winter period the leader is “Petrocub”, and “Zimbru” is ahead of “Sheriff” by three points (see the standings table). For three months, the teams will train, play in friendly / control matches, and in February 2026 will also deal with reinforcements – then the winter transfer window will be officially opened. The second phase involving the six clubs will take place in the spring. The games will start in March and the calendar for the spring part of the championship will be announced at a later date.
