The National Agency for Research and Development (ANCD) has launched the M-HERO project, which offers real opportunities for integration into the European research space. The project will be implemented over 36 months (from September 2025 to August 2028).
Funding is provided by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. The initiative aims to strengthen national research and innovation capacity.
ANCD Director General Aurelia Hanganu noted the victory of Horizon Europe’s Moldovan office as the completion of a collective effort to obtain this important support for Moldova’s research and innovation community: “The expansion of funding for research programs is the beginning of an exciting journey on which ANCD is positioning itself as a convergence center for the country’s research groups”.
Expanding the country’s participation in the Horizon Europe framework program will enable the development of a national network of National Contact Points (NCPs), ensure a sustainable and quality support system for researchers, companies and public institutions, and increase opportunities for participation in Horizon Europe programs.
