Moldovan clubs have learned their opponents for the first rounds of European cups

Milsami, who became the Moldovan soccer champion, will start their European campaign with the first qualifying round of the most prestigious continental club tournament – the Champions League (LC). “Red eagles” will meet the champion of Finland – club KuPS. The first match, scheduled for July 8 or 9 (the exact date will be determined later), “Milsami” will play away, the return match – in Orhei (July 15 or 16).

If the Moldovan champions beat KuPS, they will play the winner of the two-match confrontation Olimpija (Slovenia) – Kairat (Kazakhstan) in the second round of the Champions League. In case of defeat in the results of matches with the Finnish club “Milsami” will have the right to play in the second round of the League of Conferences (LC) – the third in status European club tournament. He will face a club that will lose the results of two matches of the first round of the LC – “Noah” (Armenia) or “Budućnost” (Montenegro).

The silver medalist of the last championship of Moldova “Sheriff” in the first round of the Europa League (LE) will fight for access to the next stage of the second most prestigious continental tournament with the club “Priština” (Kosovo). The first match will take place in Tiraspol on July 10, the return match – in Priština on July 17.

If the outcome is favorable, the Tiraspol team will play Utrecht (Netherlands) in the second round of the LE. In case of defeat, Sheriff will play in the second round of the LC with the winner of the pair “Auda” (Latvia) – “Larne” (Northern Ireland).

Chisinau “Zimbru”, who became the bronze medalist of the Super League, will play in the second qualifying round of the LC. His opponent will be “Astana” (Kazakhstan). The first match will be held on July 24 in the capital of Moldova, the return match – on July 31 on the field of the opponents. In case of victory, the Bisons will advance to the next round of the tournament (the opponent will be determined during the next draw), while defeat will force the club to end the European Cup campaign.

The fourth quota went to Petrocub, which will play Birkirkara (Malta) in the first round of the LC. The first match is scheduled for July 10 on the opponent’s field, while the return meeting on July 17 will be a home match for the club from Hincesti. If the Moldovan club advances to the second round, it will play the winner of the pair Sabah (Azerbaijan) – Celje (Slovenia). In case of defeat, Petrocub’s European Cup campaign will end.
