The land border between Azerbaijan and Iran is closed to normal passenger traffic, departure is possible only in an emergency with prior coordination with diplomatic authorities.

The Ministry specifies that the situation in Iran remains extremely unstable against the background of air strikes on military and government facilities.

Moldovan citizens are advised to avoid traveling between provinces, identify the nearest safe havens, stay away from government and military facilities, strictly follow the instructions of local authorities, regularly check the status of flights with air carriers and keep in touch with the diplomatic mission, and obtain information only from official sources.

According to available information, there are no requests for evacuation from Moldovan citizens at the moment.

The MFA also accepts appeals from citizens who have faced flight cancelations or postponements in other countries, such as the Philippines, Maldives, Zanzibar or Sri Lanka. In such cases, it is recommended to contact tour operators and airlines and inform the MFA by e-mail for consular support.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to continuously monitor the situation and will inform of any significant developments.

The Ministry publishes contacts of Moldovan diplomatic missions in its Telegram channel.
