He stressed that a modern economy is unthinkable without digitalization. “We all live in the 21st century, where digitalization is a key tool. Without it, in fact, the economy cannot function. I will give an example that is now observed in the Russian Federation, when people cannot pay in a store or use the subway because of blocked information systems,” Kharya said at a joint seminar with the e-Government Agency.
Against this background, he said, the Moldovan authorities are constantly expanding online services for businesses. Today, the vast majority of services provided by the CCI are available in digital format.
The only area in which processes cannot yet be fully digital is dual education: “Here you need practical training, showing everything with your own hands,” Harya specified.
The goal is 100% digital services for business
According to the e-Government Agency, at the beginning of this year, 76.4% of all government services intended for business are available online, and the most demanded services are 100% online.
Another important indicator is that in 2025, about 80% of all government services will be requested through digital channels.
“Some work remains in terms of the register of legal entities, but here we have good cooperation with the Agency of State Services. Our goal is that all forms of legal entities can be registered, changed and liquidated remotely. We are confidently moving towards the indicator of 100% digital services for business,” said Andrei Prisecaru, Deputy Director of the e-Government Agency.
Moreover, he noted that even the services available remotely are also gradually decreasing: “An economic agent should not know who and for what is responsible in ministries and agencies, he should do business.”
