Exports of Ukrainian cheese in the four months of 2025 increased by 22.2% compared to January-April 2024, reaching 4.4 thousand tons. This is reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
In monetary terms, exports amounted to $20.6 million, which is 31.2% more than the figure for January-April 2024.
At the same time, Ukraine itself imported 13.4 thousand tons of cheese over the same period, mainly from Poland (43.7%), Germany (10.7%), the Netherlands (8.9%), which is 16.5% more than in the same period last year.
In 2024, Moldova was also the largest importer of Ukrainian-made cheese with a share of 33.2%, purchasing a total of approximately 4.1 thousand tons of this type of products.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Moldova, cheese production in Moldova itself last year amounted to just under 9 thousand tons, while consumption amounted to about 15 thousand tons.
