According to the Association “Flour Mills of Ukraine”, Ukrainian producers exported 66.7 thousand tons of wheat flour during the 2024-2025 marketing year (July-June). This is 27.9% less compared to the previous season, when the figure was 92.5 thousand tons.
The industry association noted that about 46% of the export volume in the 2024/2025 season was exported to EU countries, but the largest buyer was Moldova.
The top 5 wheat flour importing countries were Moldova (20.3 thousand tons), Czech Republic (15.3 thousand tons), Palestine (10.8 thousand tons), France (3 thousand tons) and Spain (2.9 thousand tons).
Exports of other types of flour in the completed marketing season also decreased and amounted to 4.6 thousand tons (5.4 thousand tons in MY 2023/24).
The share of EU countries in terms of exports amounted to 14% (27% in MY 2023/2024). The top five countries, to which other types of flour were supplied last year, were Moldova (3.2 thousand tons), followed by Israel (0.5 thousand tons), Croatia (0.2 thousand tons), Bulgaria and Spain (0.1 thousand tons each).
In 2024, Moldova exported 27.4 thousand tons of domestically produced flour, 39% more than a year earlier.
