According to the governmental decree, by obtaining the status of industrial park, Moldova HiTech Park is endowed with the rights and obligations of a management company, which ensures the attraction of investments and residents, as well as the creation of infrastructure and a competitive business environment.
The park is being created on an area of 50 hectares. The adopted decision transfers a 24-hectare plot of land into administrative use, with a change in its intended purpose from agricultural land to land for construction and development.
We shall remind you that in August this year, a LLC was created with the authorized capital of 3 million lei. Of this amount, 55% is owned by the state represented by the Public Property Agency, 15% by the Chisinau Municipal Council, 15% by the Stavceni City Council and 7.5% each by two universities – Technical and Medical.
The construction of Moldova HiTech Park is planned to start in 2026. It is estimated to last five years. According to forecasts, it will create more than 20,000 high-paying jobs in such leading fields as IT, artificial intelligence, engineering, medical services and research, microelectronics and robotics, creative industries, etc.
Thus, the state intends to stimulate the development of high value-added industries, integrating Moldova into international value chains and attracting local and foreign investments. As well as positioning Moldova as a regional center of innovation and technology.
