The event will last until September 19. Moldova Business Week 2025 was originally scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3, but after the date of the parliamentary elections was approved for September 28, the forum was postponed.
This year, it will include many thematic sessions, discussion panels and presentations, during which the investment opportunities of our country will be revealed in order to create new economic ties between foreign and local entrepreneurs. The week will include a real estate forum, an anti-money laundering conference, a visit to the Ionel factory in the capital and other events.
“Within Moldova Business Week we unite under one umbrella 33 events organized by the efforts of different ministries and agencies, as well as business associations,” Irina Tolstousov, vice-director of the Investment Agency, told Logos Press. – Earlier we identified the strategic directions to be discussed and were engaged in their organization. Within this week, we will visit the Giurgiulesti port, two companies from the agricultural sector and several companies from the light industry”.
On the first day of the forum, everyone visited the factory “Ionel”. “Together with the representatives of the delegation from China, we have been preparing this visit for six months,” says Igor Stefanets, consultant and former employee of the Investment Agency. – I am referring to the company Horizon auto, which imports cars from China. But we want to develop other activities here as well. There are 14 companies from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen in the delegation, which prepared the signing of a memorandum of partnership with local companies. Among them are two companies that produce components for automobiles (charging for electric vehicles) and a company that produces cars for cab operation. Another four companies represent the production of energy from renewable sources. There are also representatives of two companies that are involved in glass production.”
According to the expert, today the geopolitical situation in the world is changing, so the interest in China is growing. A Moldovan-Chinese Chamber of Commerce will be created there, so that local companies could work with Moldovan partners through it. A group of specialists is scheduled to visit Moldova in October this year to launch the process of setting up a factory for the production of car components. It is about the production of products for export.
