The repair works will affect 12 district Health Centers from Cantemir, Straseni, Ungheni, Cahul and Calarasi districts, which were selected from 55 applicants in a tender announced by the National Health Insurance Company in the second half of July.
The winning projects are aimed at improving the material and technical base of primary and specialized outpatient medical care institutions, which do not have satisfactory conditions to ensure the population’s access to quality services.
Competitions for allocation of funds from the development insurance fund are announced by the company on a permanent basis. The fund for the development and modernization of state medical institutions has almost doubled in 2025. The allocated funds are mainly used to repair and equip medical institutions of the state healthcare system.
