Maria Pyrkalab
The candidacy was proposed by the National Bank of Moldova due to the need to appoint a new council member after the end of Ion Burli’s mandate on February 7, 2026.
Until then, Maia Pîrcălab held the position of Head of the Regulation and Licensing Department at the National Bank and has been working in the banking sector since 2017.
The Board of the Fund consists of five members, two of whom are appointed on the proposal of the National Bank.
Other members of the Board are Nadejda Cornecel (Chairperson, proposed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization), Natalia Selevestru (Vice Chairperson, proposed by the Association of Banks of Moldova), Ana Litocenco (proposed by the Ministry of Finance) and Ion Josan (proposed by the NBM).
