This status was granted to: the single investor “Lumina noastra”, consisting of the companies “Revenco Logistic” SRL, “Lumina Noastră” SRL, “Eximiusfruct” SRL, “Niko Fruit” SRL, “Solotrans-Agro” SRL and “GS Blue Electric” SRL, as well as the companies “KKK Invest”, “Navitas Energy” and “Windnova”.
The aim of the auctions was to develop wind power capacities with a total capacity of 105 MW and photovoltaic capacities with a total capacity of 60 MW for electricity generation. Out of 44 bids submitted, 11 winners were selected.
Investors will have to conclude guaranteed power purchase agreements with Energocom JSC for a period of 15 years, starting from the date of commissioning of the power plants.
The average prices obtained from the auctions are among the most competitive in Energocom’s portfolio: for photovoltaic power – about 1.16 lei/kWh (about 59.1 euros/MWh), and for wind power – about 1.32 lei/kWh (about 67.2 euros/MWh).
Once operational, the plants will produce about 8.4% of Moldova’s annual electricity consumption, and after the first year of operation, it is estimated that the share of electricity from renewable sources in final consumption will increase to 30%. Thus, national energy security will be strengthened, CO₂ emissions will be reduced and a cleaner environment will be ensured.
In addition, the promotion of renewable energy is estimated to attract private investment of more than EUR 190 million and contribute to local development by creating new jobs.
During the construction phase of the green energy plants, 400 jobs will be created and about 40 more jobs will be created for the operation and maintenance of the plants.
