The company’s management said that the actions of the employees did not comply with the requirements of the agreement with the franchisee. This led to the revocation of the franchise from Isken ApS and the closure of the locations.
“We are implementing a number of corrective measures, including requiring the removal of the franchisee from operational management, temporarily closing all restaurants for food safety compliance training by accredited third-party partners, and reviewing the entire product line in the marketplace to ensure compliance with food safety standards,” DR Kontant quoted a KFC spokesperson as saying.
According to the publication, as of June 26, despite the reported closures, several Danish KFC outlets remained open.
It should be noted that the KFC chain was founded in the American state of Kentucky in 1930. On the scale it is second only to McDonald’s. At the beginning of 2025 under the brand KFC worked 32 thousand points in 150 countries around the world. About 99% of them operate on the basis of franchises.
