Kazakhstan joins the club of the world’s largest economies

Kazakhstan has entered the top 50 largest economies in the world in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2026, reports Logos Press.

Kazakhstan's GDP is growing

The country is in the last position in the top 50 with a projected nominal GDP of $320 billion, according to data published by the analytical platform Visual Capitalist.

According to the forecasts of the International Monetary Fund, in 2026 the volume of the world economy will reach $123.6 trillion. The U.S. economy is expected to grow to 31.8 trillion, while China’s GDP will reach 20.7 trillion dollars. Since 2021, the U.S. and China have increased the total size of their economies by nearly $9 trillion and $4 trillion, respectively.

The US, China and Germany retain their positions as the world’s largest economies in terms of GDP, but the growth rates differ. India is projected to overtake Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy thanks to a 6.2 percent real GDP growth. India has also surpassed the UK in terms of GDP since 2020.

The Russian Federation, with a projected $2.5 trillion GDP in 2026, ranks 9th in Visual Capitalist’s ranking.
