Iranian authorities have sharply rejected Donald Trump’s reminder of the US ultimatum, which expires in two days. This position was voiced by several Iranian leaders on Saturday evening, April 4, dw.com writes.

Iranian general: the US has suffered a string of defeats

“Iran will send you and your soldiers straight to the depths of hell – where you have always belonged,” Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, wrote on social network X in response to Trump’s words.

“The aggressive and bellicose US president, after a string of defeats, has taken the liberty of threatening Iranian infrastructure and assets in a helpless, nervous, unbalanced and stupid manner,” General Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, a spokesman for Iran’s top military command, said. He also said that in case of a new wave of US strikes, “the gates of hell will open before them.”

Trump’s new ultimatum for Iran

On April 4, the US president reminded on the social network TruthSocial of his ultimatum. According to Trump, Tehran must “make a deal” with Washington within the next 48 hours (that is, until Monday, April 6) or lift the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Otherwise, “all hell will break loose” on Iran, the Republican warned.

A verbatim quote, “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to make a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz? Time is running out – 48 hours left before all hell breaks loose on them. Thank God!”.

On the night of March 22, the US president had already given Tehran a 48-hour ultimatum. Back then, Trump also demanded the lifting of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and promised that the US military would launch strikes on Iranian energy facilities if it did not happen. Subsequently, Trump shifted the ultimatum deadline several times, citing negotiations with Iran.
