
In particular, tax fines in the amount of 1,841.92 thousand lei and administrative fines in the amount of 516.40 thousand lei were imposed. The tax service constantly monitors the activity of taxpayers in order to ensure the issuance of tax checks for cash payments, declaration of income, as well as the availability of documents on the origin of goods sold.
Thus, according to the agency, most of all checks in February were carried out at trade enterprises. Out of 409 inspections, 290 detected violations worth over 1.5 million lei. During the inspections of 141 cab carriers, violations were identified in 99 cases. The amount of fines exceeded 150 thousand lei. At HoReCa enterprises, 111 controls were carried out, of which 55 violations were detected and fines worth over 300 thousand lei were issued. In February, 19 controls were carried out at flower markets, 11 of them with violations worth 76 thousand lei.
On the eve of the women’s holiday, the State Tax Service informed that in March the tax control will be carried out by the method of operative inspection. The types of economic activity, where the tax authority will concentrate its efforts, are also indicated. These will be retail trade, especially in stores, provision of HoReCa services, wholesale of flowers and trade in precious metal products. Checks will also be carried out in the sectors of computer repair and maintenance, transportation of passengers by road, and trading through online platforms.
