
A fire broke out at the site of the Al Ruwais industrial complex in Abu Dhabi as a result of a drone attack, the emirate’s administration press office said on social network X.
“Abu Dhabi authorities are tackling a fire that broke out at the site of Al-Ruwais Industrial Complex as a result of a drone attack. At the moment, there is no information about casualties,” the message reads.
The oil refinery complex is located in the Al-Ruwais district of Abu Dhabu, it is the world’s fourth largest in terms of production capacity and the largest in the UAE. The refinery can process 922,000 barrels of oil per day.
The complex has suspended operations.
