The winner of the second stage of the 2025 European Series was the Polish team, which defeated Ukraine 21:14 in the final. Third place went to the Romanian rugby players, who defeated the Turkish team 17:10 in the final match of the stage.
After two stages, the standings in the tournament table remained unchanged: Poland leads with 40 points, Ukraine is in second place with 36 points, and Romania closes out the top three with 32 points. The Moldovan team, with 10 points, is in ninth place among 12 teams.
Rugby 7s has been part of the Summer Olympics programme since 2009. It differs from classic rugby in the number of players (seven in each team instead of 15), duration (two halves of seven minutes instead of 2 x 40 minutes, as in the classic version) and a number of rules. At the top of the world rugby sevens rankings are the men’s teams of South Africa, New Zealand and Ireland.
