Both parties join forces, each contributing their expertise in design, construction and energy management. The PPC Group, with its strong position in all three countries, ensures fast project development and efficient energy management, while METLEN, using its many years of experience and reliable know-how, guarantees timely and high-quality project construction.

In addition to supporting the operation of neighboring photovoltaic and wind farms by storing excess energy to feed into the grid during periods when the sun or wind is not available, the storage plants will also contribute to the stability of the electricity system. Through the operation of these and future energy storage facilities, the management of renewable energy production is optimized, its contribution is maximized, and the full potential of renewable electricity generation is efficiently utilized.

Investments in storage systems ensure optimal utilization of electricity generated from renewable sources and further increase the stability of the power system both within the country and in the region as a whole.

Mr. Konstantinos Mavros, Deputy General Manager for Renewable Energy at PPC Group, said, “This agreement further expands our group’s already significant presence in South Eastern Europe. At the same time, the energy storage projects already underway will ensure the optimal utilization of electricity generated from renewable sources as well as the stability of the electricity system in our country and across the European continent. PPC is also a pioneer in this field, as the group’s investment plan includes significant investments in energy storage systems”.

It should be recalled that last week, PPC Group representatives met with the State Secretary of the Moldovan Ministry of Energy, Carolina Novak, with whom they discussed investment opportunities in Moldova’s energy sector.

At this meeting, the participating companies emphasized their experience in the implementation of large energy infrastructure projects and their interest in contributing to the development of sustainable and viable solutions in Moldova.
