From Saturday night to Sunday night, the Chisinau City Hall invites residents and guests of the capital, starting at 19:00, to the square near the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ to celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord. The meeting of the Holy Fire and the Holy Liturgy will be broadcast online and on public television.
General Mayor Ion Ceban said at the operative meeting of municipal services on Friday that on Easter night, from April 11 to 12, the movement of trolleybus routes No. 2, No. 8, No. 10, No. 12, No. 22 and No. 25 will be extended until 04:30. After midnight travel on these routes will be free of charge.
On Easter, Sunday and Monday trolleybuses will operate on a Sunday schedule.
Mayor of the capital Ion Ceban also said that, as in previous years, public transport will work in a special mode and on Radonitsa.
“The fare will be free, and transportation will run on a special route to facilitate access to cemeteries,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
In particular, buses on routes “C”, “D” and №27 will run to the cemetery of St. Lazarus on April 19 and 20.
This year Easter falls on April 12, and Radonitsa – on April 19.
