In this regard, the Moldovan government is calling on citizens to turn off the lights today, March 28, from 20:30 to 21:30 to celebrate Earth Hour.

“In our country, Earth Hour is not just a symbolic gesture, but a collective action that has a real impact on the whole society. At this time, the lights in the government building will be turned off in solidarity with global efforts to protect the environment. Reducing consumption by even 1-3% during peak hours significantly contributes to maintaining the balance between production and consumption, reducing overloading of the energy system and limiting the need for additional balancing resources,” the Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement.
