Using examples from local and international practice, young people explored how to overcome difficulties and correct business mistakes and turn them into opportunities for development.

“I dream of having my own business that will allow me to live life to the fullest”

Global Money Week 2026 introduced more than 70 young people to the practical principles of financial management and responsible financial decision-making. These skills are becoming increasingly important for future entrepreneurs, especially as digitalization accelerates.

According to Sergiu Sobuljak, the development of artificial intelligence will reinforce the importance of the ability to generate income, turning this skill into an indispensable competence for the new generation of entrepreneurs.

“Like any young person, I am motivated by challenges and ready to seize such opportunities. I took part in this project to learn how to manage my financial resources more effectively. In the long run, I plan to develop a profitable business that will allow me to live life to the fullest ,said Gloria Kozhan, a first-year student majoring in Marketing at ASEM National Trade College.

“I have always been curious to understand how a successful business is built as well as the risks involved. I realized that any entrepreneurial initiative is accompanied by difficulties, so it is important to make balanced decisions and, even when we make mistakes, not to give up on our ideas”, – emphasized Gabriela Atamanenko, a first-year student of the specialty “Tourism” of the National Trade College ASEM.

“I participated to learn about the experience of professionals who inspire us to believe in our own strengths. I intend to participate in future events as well to gain valuable knowledge for my professional and personal development,” added Cosmin Malik, a first-year student majoring in Tourism at ASEM National Trade College.

“Young people are increasingly keen to earn independently and financial education gives them the necessary foundation to manage their income responsibly. Initiatives like this open new perspectives for them, motivate them to be more committed and help them become financially independent ,said Dorina Patrascu, lecturer of economics at ASEM National Trade College.

The event, dedicated to financial and entrepreneurial education, was supported by ASEM, ASEM National Trade College, iute Moldova and Energbank. Direct communication with experts in the field of entrepreneurship contributes to the development of skills needed by young people for an economically independent life.

#YouthEconomy by iute has found a new partner

Global Money Week 2026 was the ideal platform to present the new partner of the #YouthEconomy project – Energbank. This initiative reaffirms our shared commitment to investing in quality education for young people interested in economics and entrepreneurship.

“We are at the beginning of a journey that aims to foster a generation with great potential. When several participants share the same vision, it becomes easier to achieve the goals we have set. I am convinced that young people will feel the positive impact of this partnership,” said Lilia Boyko, Chairwoman of the Board of Energbank.

“Young people are always interested in real examples and experience. Those present demonstrated a sincere desire to learn by actively participating in the discussions. It is encouraging that students use the useful information obtained at these seminars and start developing their own entrepreneurial initiatives even at the stage of training” – emphasized Sergiu Sobuleac, CEO of iute Moldova.
