The company signed a power purchase agreement for a 27.5MW wind farm in Moldova, won in the country’s first competitive tender, and was awarded a second 50MW contract for price difference (CfD) in Romania for its Cobadin project in Constanta.

This agreement complements the previously awarded 50 MW CfD for Cobadin and an 8 MW project funded by the EU Modernization Fund in Romania, bringing the total guaranteed capacity in the two countries to 135.5 MW.

According to Qair, the projects are ready for construction and operational synergies between the neighboring markets are expected. The Cobadin wind farm will reach a capacity of 100 MW after the implementation of both tranches of the CfD.

The group, which has wind, solar and energy storage projects across Europe and beyond, said its Romanian and Moldovan subsidiaries are leading the development, with local partner SEDERA supporting the Moldovan project.
