The main innovation of the model is the increased battery capacity: now it is 870 mAh, while the previous version used a 500 mAh battery. The manufacturer claims up to 30 days of battery life in normal mode and up to 50 hours with GPS enabled.

Despite the serious increase of the battery, the weight of the watch is almost unchanged – 89.2 g against 89 g of the previous model. This was achieved thanks to the case made of titanium of the fifth class, from which the back cover, bezel and hardware buttons are made, writes Notebookcheck. Previously, 316L stainless steel was used.

The screen has also received an upgrade: the 1.5-inch AMOLED panel is protected by sapphire glass and reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits (the previous version had 1,000 nits).

The built-in memory has been increased from 4GB to 64GB, and the watch is now pre-installed with offline maps with separation of paved and unpaved routes. Support for navigation with simultaneous connection to six satellite systems makes the device convenient for traveling and extreme hiking.

The new T-Rex Ultra 2 has a built-in LED flashlight with two brightness modes – 200 and 300 lux, as well as an SOS function.

The European version additionally supports contactless NFC payments. The watch can withstand temperatures down to -30°C and has a water resistance of 10 ATM, which allows it to be used for freediving and high-speed water sports.

The recommended price of the novelty is 550 dollars.
