The winners of Skytrax World Airport Awards and AirlineRatings.com's World's Best Airline Awards by continent, region and category have been announced.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport has become the best airport in Europe, ranking sixth in the overall rating. It has topped the ranking in Europe for the fourth year in a row.

Other European airports followed it in the world ranking: Rome Fiumicino took seventh place, Istanbul Airport took eighth place, and Munich Airport took ninth place.

The top 20 European airports also included Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (11th place), Vienna International Airport (15th place), London Heathrow Airport (16th place), Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (17th place) and Zurich Airport (19th place).

Budapest Airport was named the best airport in Eastern Europe, and London Heathrow was awarded for the world’s best shopping airport.

Chisinau’s Eugene Doga International Airport (RMO) is ranked 1st in Europe for passenger growth (2025) – according to Airports Council International (ACI EUROPE). Chisinau is recognized as the leader in the Medium-Sized airport category. In some months of 2025, passenger traffic growth reached 46.8% year-on-year.

RMO is ranked 6th in Central Asia and CIS (Skytrax 2026) – in the regional ranking of World Airport Awards, Chisinau airport is in the top 10, behind Baku, Almaty, Astana, Tashkent and Yerevan.
