Doina Nistor met with Poland’s Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski during the forum, with whom she discussed prospects for closer cooperation in cybersecurity, given that Poland has valuable experience in protecting public infrastructure and strengthening digital defense.
At a meeting with European Commission Vice President for Technology, Security and Democracy Henna Virkkunen, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization said that Moldova is a reliable partner for Europe and its digital integration with the EU is progressing rapidly.
At a regional forum on digital security, Doina Nistor joined ministers from the EU and Western Balkans discussing how we can better protect ourselves from cyber attacks. She also had important meetings with technology partners: with the IBM research group on the future of quantum technologies and cooperation with the new IBM center in Iasi, with Google representatives on fighting misinformation and developing digital skills in Moldova.
In her speech at the summit, Doina Nistor made it clear that Moldova is not just a beneficiary of European innovation, but an active part of the continent’s digital future. “From cybersecurity to smart agriculture and artificial intelligence, Moldova is building a secure, modern digital state connected to Europe,” she emphasized.
