This initiative is part of the agency’s efforts to increase transparency and accessibility of relevant information in the energy sector through digitalization.
The platform is a modern analytical tool designed to provide interactive visualization and easy access to up-to-date data on the development of the renewable energy sector. It integrates up-to-date information in a convenient format and allows tracking the dynamics of installed capacity development, providing a clear picture of development trends at both national and regional levels.
“With this platform, we are transforming complex technical data into a resource that is accessible to everyone. We are launching not just a website, but a decision-making tool: now any investor or citizen can see in real time where and how green energy is developing in Moldova. The digitalization of the sector means, above all, transparency,” said Ion Muntean, Director of CNED.
The platform is structured in such a way that users can first view a general overview of aggregated data at the national level and then, using special submenus, proceed to a detailed analysis. By interactively applying different combinations of filters, the end user can:
– Segment the data by the technology used (PV, wind, biogas, hydropower) and the support mechanism applied.
– Analyze the dynamics of installed capacity over time, tracking the sectoral development in the selected time interval.
– View development at the regional level, with access to disaggregated data and statistics specific to each region.
– Locate renewable energy production facilities on an interactive map.
– Distinguish between categories of producers, being able to analyze data related to large renewable energy producers separately from data related to consumer producers (including their dynamics and spatial distribution).
– Generate personalized datasets by analyzing disaggregated data to support research or investment planning.
For government agencies, investors and the public
Through this digital solution, users – including public authorities, investors, experts and the general public – can access structured data that facilitates sector analysis and supports evidence-based decision-making. At the same time, the platform contributes to a better understanding of the progress made in the use of renewable energy and its impact on the energy system.
The development of the platform aims to promote the use of modern information tools and support the digitalization of the energy sector. By providing accessible and up-to-date data, the organization contributes to a more transparent and predictable environment for the development of investments in this field.
The platform is currently in the initial stage of launch, so some adjustments may be made in the process. The data presented on the platform are official data collected by relevant institutions and authorities in the energy sector.
CNED encourages all actors in the renewable energy sector – producers, consumer-producers, suppliers and other stakeholders – to support data transparency efforts in order to improve the quality of public policies and make decisions based on reliable information.
To ensure an optimal user experience, the platform is available in both desktop and mobile versions, adapted for quick access and intuitive navigation on any type of device.
