Moldova and Bulgaria have met twice on the soccer field. Both matches took place within the qualifying tournament for the European Championship-1996 and ended with defeats of the Moldovan national team (1:4, 0:3). The previous meeting took place on April 26, 1995 in Chisinau.
Position in the world ranking
In the current FIFA ranking, the Bulgarian national team occupies a higher place – 87th. “Tricolored” are located on the 158th position. Both national teams did not reach the final stage of the World Cup.
