The company intends to expand its production capacity and create about 300 new jobs.
The announced plans were discussed during the working visit of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugeniu Osmochescu to the enterprise.
BauTex Composites, a subsidiary of the German concern BauTex-Stoffe, started its activity in Moldova in 2021 in the Straseni subzone of the free economic zone “Balti”. To date, the volume of investments has exceeded 20 million euros.
The company has already created more than 200 jobs, mainly for the inhabitants of the region. The company operates in accordance with international quality and safety standards, with a significant part of its products being export-oriented.
The deputy prime minister said that such investments contribute to the development of the industry, the export growth and Moldova’s integration into the international production chains.
“Against the background of the recovery of foreign direct investments – their volume in the first nine months of 2025 amounted to almost 16.7 billion lei, while the reinvestment of profits increased by more than 50 per cent – such projects are strategically important for the country’s sustainable economic development,” the deputy prime minister said.
For their part, the investors said that they consider Moldova as a long-term partner and expect a further increase in investments.
Bautex-Stoffe has been operating since 1964. Today, the company is present in more than 50 countries.
In Moldova, BauTex produces a wide range of fiberglass and composite products for the construction and high-tech industry. These are fiberglass meshes for facades and mosaics, abrasive disks, panel meshes, technical fabrics for roofs and membranes, composite fabrics used in various high-tech industries.
