
At the same time, amendments are being made to some provisions of the Code concerning underground parking lots, the areas of which will be excluded from the calculation of the percentage of occupancy of a land plot and its utilization coefficient. Thus, developers will be motivated to build more underground parking spaces, which will help reduce the cost of parking, optimize traffic in urban areas and free up space in the yards of apartment buildings that can be converted into green areas.
Also, according to the project, there will be a clear delineation between the competence of the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision (INST) and the police in stopping construction works and protecting public order. The Inspectorate will be responsible for detecting all possible violations, while the police will ensure public order and support INST in legal proceedings.
In addition, INST or the Monument Inspection Agency will be able to take the necessary measures to stop unauthorized construction or demolition works.
