Joint Order No. 418-0/3, dated October 2, 2025, of the Customs Service and the National Food Safety Agency, published on November 21, provides for this.
According to the document, goods of economic operators with AEO status benefit not only from customs controls but also from ANSA inspections at all border customs posts. The mechanism, initially tested at the Leuseni customs post, is being extended to the national level, ensuring uniform application of procedures for AEO operators throughout the border control chain.
The main benefits of the incentive include priority access and control for AEO operators at ANSA customs posts and inspection points, as well as in the issuance of documents required for import-export processes by ANSA. AEO status involves reducing administrative barriers, simplifying procedures, and optimizing the use of institutional resources by focusing inspections on high-risk areas. The application of these measures contributes to improving the efficiency of trade operations and strengthening cooperation with the business community.
The extension of AEO benefits under ANSA inspections represents the next step in the integration of domestic economic operators into international logistics chains through the mechanism of mutual recognition of AEO programs between Moldova and the European Union.
An authorized economic operator enjoys special advantages in relations with customs authorities (simplified declaration, priority customs formalities, risk reduction during customs clearance, etc.). This status is valid in the EU countries, as well as in the USA, Japan, China and other countries.
