
Specifically:
– in the areas of bridges over the Dniester and Prut rivers 100 m upstream and downstream;
– within 500 m on both sides of the confluence of the tributaries Larga, Vilia, Lopatnik, Rakovets, Ciugur, Kamenka, Gyrla Mare, Delia, Nirnova, Lepushna, Serata, Tigec into the Prut River and the tributaries Cherna, Reut, Ikel, Byk and Botna tributaries into the Dniester River and within 500 m from the upstream confluence of these tributaries, and in the downstream branch of the Turunchuk River within 500 m from the point of branching;
– in the Goyan Bay; on Lake Beleu;
– in the Dniester River in sections 1 km downstream of Naslavcha village and 300 m downstream of the Dubasari reservoir dam and in the section upstream of the Dubasari HPP dam to the 362nd km marker;
– in the Ohrincha floodplain on the Reut River;
– in the discharge canals of the Moldavskaya TPP, in the Cuciurgan reservoir for 500 m south and north of the canal confluence and for 300 m deep into the reservoir;
– in the old channel of the Prut River from the dam of the Costeşti Stînca hydrosystem to its confluence with the main channel; in the Prut River for 3 km downstream and 500 m upstream from the dam of the Costeşti Stînca hydrosystem;
– in the Dniester and Prut rivers for 100 m on both sides of the river from the confluence of the channels connecting the plavnyas and lakes with these rivers;
– in the Danube River within the territorial boundaries of the Republic of Moldova.
In addition, the Environmental Agency annually establishes deadlines for the prohibition of sport, recreational and amateur fishing of any species of fish, crustaceans, mollusks and other aquatic life. Fishing is prohibited from April 1:
– for 68 days – until June 7 inclusive: from the crossing of the Prut River with the northern border of RM with Ukraine to the village of Tetcani, in the reservoir Costeşti Stinca and in the Prut River in the section from the dam of the hydraulic engineering unit Costeşti Stinca to the village of Giurgiulesti;
– during 75 days – until June 14: in the Dniester River from Naslavca village to Camenca, in the Dubasari reservoir, in the Dniester River from the dam of the Dubasari HPP to Palanca village (km 28) and in the branch of the Turunchuk River, as well as in Lake Cahul.
– for 91 days – until June 30: on the rivers Cherna, Reut, Ikel, Byk and Botna, tributaries of the Dniester River; on the rivers Larga, Vilia, Lopatnik, Rakovets, Ciugur, Kamenka, Gyrla Mare, Delia, Nirnova, Lepushna, Sarata, Tigec, tributaries of the Prut River; in the ponds Manta and on the rivers Cogylnik, Cahul, Yalpug. The prohibition does not apply to artificial fish-breeding facilities built on them.
The terms of the ban were established upon the submission of scientific institutions and the Environmental Protection Inspectorate. The Environmental Protection Inspectorate will control the observance of fishing restrictions.
