autonomous trolleybus produced in Moldova
The new plant will be located in Truseni, a suburb of Chisinau. It will occupy an area of 20 thousand m2, will create about 100 jobs and will produce up to 15 units of electric vehicles per month. Investments will amount to 5 million euros.
InformBusiness has been operating since 1990. The company was engaged in the development of software and microelectronics, as well as integrated solutions for electric transportation.
Today, InformBusiness’ product range includes traction inverters, advanced battery management systems and electronic control equipment, all designed for trolleybuses, electric buses and streetcars. These components are designed and manufactured in Chisinau through an integrated production chain.
The company’s technologies are already in use in more than 170 cities around the world, from Bucharest and Kiev to major metropolitan areas in Asia and Latin America.
The manufacturer also received the first officially registered VIN (vehicle identification number) for the Republic of Moldova. This means that the MD trolleybus, developed and assembled entirely in the country, marks the beginning of a new stage in the domestic production of electric vehicles with the potential for export to other markets.
In the near future, the Moldovan company intends to expand its portfolio to include the production of streetcars.
