A quality road will be built to the free economic zone "Ungheni-Business"
The project is implemented by the Government of Moldova through the Regional Development Agency “Center” with the financial support of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) and with the participation of local self-government bodies. The total value of the contract is 21.93 million lei.
The works are to be completed within 11 months, starting from the date specified in the work start order.
This project will modernize the road infrastructure in the access area of the free economic zone “Ungheni-Business”, facilitating the traffic and improving the transport connection for economic entities.
The modernized infrastructure will bring benefits:
– More than 24,760 Ungheni residents;
– 59 residents of the free economic zone “Ungheni-Business”;
– 25 active economic entities and potential investors;
– the state enterprise Servicii Comunale Ungheni, responsible for the management of road and drainage networks;
– tourists and vehicle owners in the area.
The director of ADR Centru, Ion Pinzar, emphasized the strategic importance of the investment:
“This project represents an important step for the economic development of Ungheni and strengthening the investment climate in the region. By modernizing the road infrastructure, we facilitate access to the FEZ and create better conditions for business development and attracting new investments”.
For his part, Ungheni Mayor Vitalie Vrabie noted that this project will contribute to improving access to one of the most important economic areas of the city, supporting local economic development and creating new opportunities for the community.
