39 parties will be able to participate in the parliamentary elections

According to the Central Election Commission, the parties that plan to participate in the parliamentary elections should have submitted a numerical and roll-call list of their governing and executive bodies by the beginning of the electoral period (July 14).

The State Services Agency informed the CEC that out of 66 parties registered in the State Register, 25 political formations submitted all the necessary information to obtain the right to participate in the elections. Information about 14 more parties is being updated by the State Services Agency. They include the Party of Communists, the Agrarian Party, the Liberal Party, the Party “Chance”, the political bloc “Victory”, the party “Revival” and others.

The CEC notes that three parties (“Chance”, “Alternative and Force for the Salvation of Moldova” and “Vozrozhdenie”) are under court proceedings for banning or restricting their activities.

As a result, CEC considered it appropriate to include these 14 political parties in the list of political parties eligible to participate in the September 28 parliamentary elections, but with the condition of exclusion from the list if the State Services Agency fails to issue a permit or the court decides to dissolve or restrict the party’s activity. The full list of parties is available on the CEC website.
