This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Doina Nistor, noting: 391 companies with foreign capital were registered in our country in 2021, 540 companies in 2022, 557 companies in 2023 and 621 companies in 2024.
In the first half of 2025, more than 350 new companies with foreign and mixed capital appeared in Moldova. The majority of investors come from the European Union, Ukraine, Turkey, USA, UK, Israel, Switzerland and many other countries.
“The data provided by the Public Services Agency confirm that investors trust Moldova and the direction it is heading: accession to the EU and directly to the European single market. At the same time, we create conditions that make life as easy as possible for entrepreneurs: we digitalize public services, simplify relations with the state, provide access to capital and open new markets for exports.
We know that there is room for improvement. But the direction is the right one, and more and more investors see it. This is confirmed by the fact that foreign direct investment in the first half of the year increased 2.7 times,” emphasized Doina Nistor.
