
For this purpose, more than 115 million lei were transferred to contracted pharmacies, about 8 million more than in the same period of 2023.
According to data from the automated information system eRețeta, more than 308 thousand electronic prescriptions were processed through 1,700 pharmacy organizations in October.
Most of the allocated amount, about 108 million lei, was meant for compensated medicines. More than 53 million lei was allocated for medicines for patients with circulatory system diseases – about 125 thousand people. 73,000 people suffering from endocrine diseases, digestive and metabolic disorders received medicines worth about 36 million lei.
According to the NMSC data, the average cost of compensated medicines per patient amounted to 638 lei. The most expensive are still the treatments for patients with congenital malformations, deformations and chromosomal anomalies (the average cost is 4081 lei per patient).
At the same time, about 26 thousand beneficiaries received compensated medical devices for a total amount of more than 7.3 million lei.
An electronic prescription can be issued by any doctor, including emergency department doctors, doctors providing community care and palliative care at home. At the pharmacy, citizens can obtain compensated medicines or medical devices by presenting only their ID card.
