    The 60th International Music Festival “Merzishor” on March 1 will open in an unusual way: with a large-scale premiere of the multimedia musical “Maria Mirabela. The story goes on.” The production is dedicated to the memory of composer Evgeny Doga and poet Grigore Vieru. This is the first musical entirely created in Moldova, Logos Press reports.

    World Read Aloud Day, celebrated on February 1 at the Pushkin House-Museum, “gave” to many people the forgotten Russian writer, historian Alexander Veltman, who became famous during his lifetime, a Kishinev acquaintance of Alexander Pushkin. In 1986, Veltman’s novel “The Wanderer” was published in Moldovan by the publishing house “Literatura Artistica”, and artist Mihail Brunea drew a series of witty illustrations for the novel.

    In the graphic art exhibition “MONOCROM” at the Organ Hall Gallery, students of the A. Plamediale College of Art invite viewers to focus on meaning, form and composition, rather than on color diversity as usual. The exhibition shows that monochromy does not limit artists at all, but on the contrary, gives them the opportunity to use a rich palette of tones and shades, focusing on the technical methods of working with line and spot.

Surrealism and absurdity for the artist are ways of thinking that allow him to explore what was previously considered incomprehensible and create art that raises questions, surprises and remains in the memory.

    The international festival of theater and film schools ClassFest Acting Lab- 2025 will be held in Chisinau from November 10 to 15 for the 14th time. The objectives of the organizer – Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts (AMTAP) – are to promote contemporary art, exchange of experience between theatrical schools, as well as to encourage young actors who get the opportunity to present their best projects. This is the uniqueness of “ClassFest” for students and young people from Moldova.

    On September 22, Stanislav Poznakomkin, director of the Museum of Natural History named after L.S. Berg at Moldova State University, turned 90 years old. The university administration presented him to the medal “For Civil Merit”. This year Stanislav Danilovich published a book “Thoughts. Reflections. Diary entries”, the presentation of which took place on September 17 at the “Book of the Year-2025” in RCSC.
