Can foreign citizens become land owners in Moldova? The answer is given by the new Land Code of the Republic of Moldova, which entered into force on April 1, 2025. – reports Logos Press.
The number of active population in 2024 (aged 15 years and older) in Moldova amounted to 889.1 thousand people, decreasing compared to 2023 by 38.23 thousand people (4.3%) – reports Logos Press.
The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) announced the authorization of payment of applications for financial support for the period from March 1 to March 31, 2025. For this purpose, MDL 165.05 million has been allocated for payment under various subsidy mechanisms, Logos Press reported.
The first contract signed between the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and a private company, within the “Regional State Aid Scheme for investments realized in the Republic of Moldova”, will be followed by two more in the coming days, Logos Press reported.
The Government decided to provide a free opportunity to obtain the first qualified electronic signature certificate for inclusion in the identification card (new identity card in RM). The validity of the electronic signature certificate issued under such conditions is five years. This benefit will be available to 1 million Moldovan citizens, Logos Press reported.
The “Regional State Aid Scheme for investments realized in the Republic of Moldova”, adopted by the government at the end of last year, started working with the signing of the first State Aid Agreement for investments between the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and Imcomvil Group on March 28.
Since the beginning of 2025, 5,134 job seekers have been employed through the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). Among them, 1,663 were unemployed (32%).
The Environmental Agency has issued an order, according to which from March 28, fishing is prohibited in Moldova throughout the year in certain places – reports Logos Press.
As of April 2, a new identity document of the national passport system can be obtained in Moldova. The identity card called Buletin de identitate will be replaced by the Carte de identitate identification card. The accompanying Fișa de însoțire inserts in circulation for all types of valid identity cards and residence permits will be invalidated from the date of introduction of the identification card, Logos Press reported.
