According to the organizers’ estimates, more than a thousand supporters of the BCS, including MPs, as well as representatives of the Future of Moldova and Heart of Moldova parties, with which the Socialists and Communists intend to form a single bloc in the parliamentary elections, took part in the rally in front of the parliament. They held flags of Moldova and slogans of two colors – red and yellow. The red-colored slogans bore the PCRM and PSRM promises: “Let’s ensure affordable gas and electricity tariffs!” and “Let’s ensure the independence of courts and prosecutor’s offices!”. On the slogans in yellow color – what PAS has done during its time in power: “Expensive medicines”, “Seize the CEC and the Constitutional Court!”. The demonstrators shouted anti-government and anti-presidential slogans.

Vlad Batryncha called the current composition of the parliament “shameful and criminal”. He accused the current government of “four years of lawlessness” and called “the cancellation of pension indexation, raising the retirement age, liquidation of agrarian and sports universities, closure of scientific centers, as well as the transfer of the banking system under foreign control” a crime against the people.

“There are no more banks with national capital in Moldova. Not a single bank belongs to Moldovans, they are all managed from outside,” the MP said.

He stressed that the BCS faction has registered in parliament the last draft resolution at this stage – on the creation of a parliamentary investigation commission, which should review all the controversial and anti-people decisions taken over the last four years: from interference in the judicial system to the politicization of the prosecutor’s office and the destruction of the educational infrastructure.
