Greco-Roman wrestler Valentin Petic, who came second in the category up to 67 kg at the prestigious Grand Prix of Budapest (Hungary), continues to maintain the best positions among the Moldovan athletes – he has 52.000 points. Vitalie Eremenco, winner of the Greco-Roman wrestling competition at the European Youth Championships and vice-champion of the Budapest Grand Prix, with 45.500 points became the second in the category up to 63 kg.
The silver medalist of last year’s Olympic Games Anastasia Nikita, despite the pause caused by pregnancy, has a solid reserve in the form of 35.000 points. This allows her to maintain her fourth position in the under 57 kg category. Nikita recently became a mother and has not yet announced the resumption of her sports career.
Mihail Bradu with 40.480 points keeps the fifth place among Greco-Roman wrestlers in the category up to 82 kg. Artem Deleanu, who won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Bratislava (Slovakia) in the 55 kg category this season, has 20.540 points and is in the seventh place. The eighth place among freestyle wrestlers in the category up to 92 kg is occupied by Ivan Ikizli with 30.500 points.
Alexander Solovey, who has repeatedly climbed the podium this season (victory at the European Youth Championships and Budapest Grand Prix, as well as second place at the Continental Senior Championships), took only the ninth position among Greco-Roman style wrestlers in the category up to 77 kg. His ranking is 29.500 points. Vice-champion of Europe and Grand Prix of Budapest in the category up to 65 kg Irina Ryngach occupies the ninth position with 20.800 points. The top ten in the ranking of freestyle wrestlers in the category up to 61 kg is closed by Leonid Kolesnik, who earned 24.080 points.
Among those who were not included in the TOP-10, freestyle wrestlers Radu Lefter (up to 97 kg / 11th place), Vasile Diacon (up to 70 kg / 12th place), representatives of Greco-Roman style Mihai Petic (up to 72 kg / 11th place), Victor Ciobanu (up to 60 kg / 13th place), women Mariana Kerdivara-Eceanu (up to 59 kg / 13th place) and Mariana Dragutan (up to 55 kg / 14th place) are the highest in the ranking.
