Two buildings of the former railway club, which were under the jurisdiction of the state enterprise “Moldavian Railroad”, are being transferred to the ownership of the municipality. Now they are in a neglected state and have not been used for their intended purpose for a long time. The objects are located 25 meters away from the Delia Lake, with an area of 111,26 ha and a good dislocation for water sports. The panorama of the buildings makes it possible to transform them into a regional training center for the national rowing and canoeing team, which will contribute to the promotion of this sport and support young talents in the region.
We would like to remind that Delia Lake was also transferred to the management of Ungheni Municipality in 2024.
The Ungheni municipality will also take over several buildings previously managed by the state enterprise “Poșta Moldovei”. They were in a state of extreme degradation and were to be demolished in the future. It was decided to transfer these buildings to the municipality in order to use them for the modernization of the city’s urban and tourist infrastructure.
The State Property Agency, together with the local authorities, will ensure an efficient transfer of assets within 30 days, in accordance with the legal procedures in force.
