As a result, the money was seized and the case was referred to the criminal investigation department of the Moldovan Customs Service for investigation.
The Customs Service recalls the obligation to declare funds if the total amount of money transported is €10,000 euros (or equivalent) or more, both when entering and leaving the Republic of Moldova.
