Ukraine uncovered “criminal group of deputies”

According to anti-corruption bodies, MPs received money for “correct” voting in the Verkhovna Rada, RBC specifies with reference to the NABU release. And cites the chronology of events based on data from open sources. On the morning of December 27, Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said that “in the coming days” the NABU and the SAP may hand suspicions to several MPs from the Servant of the People party (founded by the country’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy –LP note ) who were caught receiving “informal payments from the black treasury”.

In early December, the NABU reported that it had launched an investigation against MP Anna Skorokhod, who represents the parliamentary group For the Future. She was accused of leading an “organized criminal group”. The MP herself believes that the investigation against her is an attempt to put pressure on the opposition.

We will remind, before that NABU and SAP published the results of the operation “Midas”, which lasted 15 months and was associated with embezzlement and money laundering in the entourage of President Vladimir Zelensky. The main figure is Zelensky’s former colleague, co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio Timur Mindich, who fled the country to Israel just before the announcement of the investigation and searches at his place. Ukraine’s energy minister and justice minister were forced to resign as part of the same case.
