According to the results of the draw, the national team of Moldova got into the third group of Division C of the League of Nations with opponents from Slovakia, Kazakhstan and the Faroe Islands. Victory in this group will allow the “tricolor” to qualify for the more prestigious Division B.
When and where?
The Moldovan national team will start the tournament on September 26 with an away match against Slovakia. On the same day, the Faroe Islands will host Kazakhstan. For the national team the performance in the group tournament will end on November 16 with an away match against the Faroe Islands (see the full schedule of matches in the group of the national team of Moldova in the table).
In case “tricolor” will take the second place in the group, in March 2027 they will compete for promotion with the worst team of one of the groups of Division B.
The Moldovan national team earned the right to play in Division C of the UEFA Nations League after finishing first in Division D in the fall of 2024.
