
As noted in the Ministry of Energy, we are talking about Corin Popescu and Bogdan Toncescu, who took, in that order, the first two places in the ranking of scores received by the candidates, scoring 9.86 and 8.94 points respectively. The remaining two vacancies went to Moldovan citizens Oleg Stepca and Eugen Gilecki. They will also be proposed to the Board of Directors of the state enterprise.
Corina Popescu is the former general director of Transelectrica and Electrica SA in Romania, as well as the state secretary of the Ministry of Energy in Bucharest, head of the energy distribution department at Electrica SA, manager of electricity operations at E.ON Romania, and manager of energy production assets at OMV Petrom. She is currently Vice President for Strategy and Business Development at Enevo Group SA.
Bogdan Toncescu is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Transelectrica, currently Head of Corporate Governance/Representation and Investor Relations at the Romanian electricity transportation operator.
