Trump refused to talk about Russia's help with intelligence for Iran

This reports “European Pravda.”

At the end of a White House roundtable discussion on college sports on Friday, Donald Trump said he would answer one or two questions and gave Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy the floor.

He asked the president about Washington Post and Fox News reports that Russia is providing Iran with intelligence to help it strike U.S. targets.

Trump interrupted the reporter without finishing the question and joked that Russia’s possible help to Iran was “a lightweight issue compared to what we’re doing here,” referring to a discussion of how college sports might change.

And Trump later admonished the reporter for mentioning war against Iran.

“But can I be honest? It’s just … I have a lot of respect for you. You’ve always been very good to me. What a stupid question you’ve asked now. We’re talking about something else,” he said.

Earlier, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt did not confirm but also did not deny The Washington Post’s report that Russia may be providing intelligence to Iran for strikes against U.S. forces in the Middle East. She said it doesn’t matter to Washington anyway as the U.S. Army continues to achieve military objectives in the operation against Iran.

“We don’t comment on intelligence reports that leak to the press. Frankly, it doesn’t matter whether it actually happened or not,” Ms. Leavitt said in an interview with Fox News Channel. She added that this is unlikely to affect the development of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and the United States’ participation in the peace settlement.
