The parliamentary commission for foreign policy approved an advisory opinion on the signing of a grant agreement between Moldova, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association. After signing, the grant agreement will be submitted for ratification.

According to the authors of the initiative, the development of the Register of pledges of movable property will reduce bureaucratic pressure on business through digitalization of public services, increase companies’ access to financing and improve their competitiveness on foreign markets. In addition, the digitalization of services will help prevent and manage crisis situations more effectively.

Currently, about 75% of public services provided to businesses have already been digitized: 307 out of 408 services are available online. The number of institutions providing services digitally has grown to 21 out of 52.

In fact, the Register of pledges of movable property became available last year. The service was digitized by the e-Governance Agency under the Modernization of Government Services Project (MGSP), with the support of the government and the World Bank Group, at the request of the Agency for Digitalization of Justice and Judicial Administration of the Ministry of Justice.
