The changes affected postal items. According to ANRCETI Decision adopted on April 18, 2025, higher tariffs were established for the collection, sorting, transportation and delivery of correspondence and parcels. For simple letters, postcards and printed publications weighing from less than 20 g to 2 kg, the cost of these services in total will be from 5 lei to 16 lei (excluding VAT).
Registered letters, postcards and printed publications in the same weight categories cost from 13.5 lei to 24.5 lei (without VAT).
Tariffs for simple small packages weighing from less than 100 gr. to 2 kg are in the range of 16-25 lei (without VAT). And for the same small packages, but customized, they range from 24.5 lei to 33.5 lei (without VAT).
Sending postal parcels at a fixed tariff now costs 34 lei (without VAT). If the tariff is linked to weight, you have to pay 4 lei (without VAT) for each full or partial kilogram.
As explained by ANRCETI, the new tariffs are calculated in accordance with the Methodology for setting tariffs for universal postal services, approved by a decision of the Administrative Council in 2016, taking into account the total costs allocated to each element of the network (collection, sorting, transportation and delivery), as well as for each category of services and the weight of the item.
The previous tariff change was made in February 2022.
